Carol G. Silverman has been practicing law for twenty-five years. Her life long interest in civil rights led to her decision to solely concentrate her practice in the area of employment law. Prior to forming her own law firm , Ms. Silverman worked for many years at The Law Offices of Laurie J. Wasserman, where she represented employees in sexual harassment claims, discrimination claims, retaliation and whistle-blowing claims, Family and Medical Leave claims, severance agreements, employment agreements, non-compete agreements and counseling clients regarding on-going workplace issues. Ms. Silverman is also a trained mediator. Her mediation background provides a valuable advantage in negotiating successful outcomes for her clients.
Ms. Silverman is a member of the American Bar Association (section of Labor and Employment Law), the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association and the National Employment Lawyers Association. She is also a participant in the attorney referral services of the American Diabetes Association, the Epilepsy Foundation and Lambda.
Ms. Silverman is a graduate of IIT Kent College of Law, where she consistently made the Dean’s List and was named a Moot Court finalist. She studied American Social History as a graduate student at the University of Illinois, where she also graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelor’s degree in History.
